England head coach Sarina Wiegman praised Ella Toone for her positive attitude after being initially excluded from the squad for the Women's World Cup playoff against Greece. Following an injury to Lucy Bronze, Toone was recalled for the first leg in Crete, demonstrating her commitment by organizing training in Spain during the international window.
Watch for Toone's impact in the first leg against Greece, as her resilience could be pivotal for England. With Greece's defensive setup, patience will be key for the Lionesses. The outcome may shape squad dynamics ahead of the World Cup draw on December 11.
