HM Treasury has accepted a coroner's findings that it contributed to the death of Chloe Moffat, a personal assistant, by failing to communicate the potential outcomes of misconduct allegations. The Treasury has halted informal fact-finding meetings and is reviewing its policies to enhance employee wellbeing and clarify procedures.
In response to the coroner's report, the Treasury has introduced new safeguards and is developing a suicide prevention framework. The Cabinet Office will also conduct a broader review of workplace conflict resolution across Whitehall within the next year.
