The Centre party in Sweden has pledged to assist British nationals facing deportation due to Brexit-related issues. Niels Paarup-Petersen, the party's migration spokesperson, indicated that if elected, they would amend laws to allow affected individuals, like 78-year-old Joyce Thomas, to reapply for residency. Thomas has been ordered to leave Sweden after 21 years.
This commitment comes as Sweden prepares for elections, with recent polls suggesting a shift towards a centre-left coalition. The party aims to address the harsh treatment of British citizens under current immigration policies, which have led to numerous deportation cases.
