Cinematographer Steve Yedlin, known for his work on films like 'Knives Out,' has released the Chromagraph Camera app, priced at $13. This app processes iPhone photos using color techniques similar to those employed in film production, allowing users to capture stylized images without extensive adjustments.
The app quickly gained popularity after being promoted by director Rian Johnson, becoming the top paid download on the iOS store. While it offers unique processing for still images, Yedlin emphasizes that it is not intended to replace the iPhone's native camera but rather to enhance color representation.
Watch for user feedback as the Chromagraph Camera app evolves. With its unique processing, it could inspire future updates or features, especially if demand for video support grows. Keep an eye on how Yedlin's color techniques influence mobile photography trends.
