Reports indicate that RAF jets experienced two close encounters with unidentified drones during training exercises over the North Sea earlier this year. The incidents, which occurred at a significant altitude above legal limits for commercial drones, have prompted ongoing investigations by various authorities.
Additionally, hundreds of British troops are set to deploy to Poland next month for military exercises simulating a potential deployment to Ukraine. This exercise will also involve personnel from France and Germany, marking a notable collaboration among NATO allies amid ongoing tensions in the region.
The RAF's drone encounters raise concerns about airspace safety, particularly as UK troops prepare for exercises in Poland. Observers should monitor the outcomes of these investigations and the implications for future military operations and drone regulations in the region.
