Quartermaster, a startup based in Arlington, Virginia, has successfully raised $140 million in its Series B funding round, following a $43 million Series A earlier this year. The investment was led by Insight Partners and includes contributions from Overmatch Ventures and existing investors, driven by heightened interest in maritime data due to recent global events.
The company’s SmartMast technology integrates cameras and radios to provide real-time maritime data, enhancing awareness in what it describes as the 'largest blind spot on Earth.' With over 650 vessels equipped across 25 countries, Quartermaster is scaling its manufacturing to meet increasing demand for its innovative solutions in maritime safety and efficiency.
