As the NHL season begins, fantasy hockey players can gain an edge by strategically selecting players based on the schedule. Teams like the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres will play on several lighter nights, allowing managers to maximize their lineup potential when other teams are inactive. Notable players to consider include Bruins' JJ Peterka and Sabres' Josh Doan, both of whom are expected to contribute significantly this season.
Additionally, teams such as the Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames present opportunities for fantasy managers to identify valuable players. With several teams playing on fewer nights, keeping track of player performance and availability will be crucial for success in head-to-head matchups throughout October.
