A new community supermarket has opened in The Pentagon Centre, Chatham, providing affordable groceries to the public. Operated by SEK Community Food Shop, the store aims to support individuals facing food insecurity while also offering additional services like employment assistance and budgeting advice.
Watch for community engagement events at the new supermarket, which may enhance local support networks. The store's success could inspire similar initiatives in other areas, focusing on food waste reduction and holistic support services for vulnerable populations.
