Carlsberg Britvic has announced plans to close Marston's Brewery in Burton-upon-Trent, affecting around 310 employees. The decision comes as UK cask ale volumes have significantly declined, prompting the company to reassess its operations.
Watch for potential job support initiatives from local government as the closure impacts 310 employees. The fate of Marston's iconic brands remains uncertain; consumers may see shifts in availability. Local brewers could step in to preserve Burton's brewing legacy.
