Manchester City secured a 3-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield, marking their first match since being found guilty of over 100 rule violations by the Premier League. Goals from Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku, and Rayan Cherki followed a red card for Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch, which shifted the momentum in City's favor.
Despite a strong start to the season, Liverpool struggled with key injuries and the absence of their top scorers. The defeat highlights ongoing challenges for Liverpool as they adapt to their current squad limitations and the pressure to perform at home.
