Laurie Anderson, the acclaimed American artist, has become the 13th contributor to the Future Library project, submitting a manuscript that will remain sealed until 2114. This initiative, based in Oslo, aims to create an anthology of works from various authors, with the final texts printed on paper made from trees planted specifically for this purpose.
Anderson joins a distinguished group of writers, including Margaret Atwood and Ocean Vuong. The project emphasizes the connection between literature, nature, and time, as the manuscripts are stored in a dedicated space within the Deichman Bjørvika library, ensuring their preservation for future generations.
