Fr Willie Doyle, a chaplain who served in the British Army during World War One, is moving closer to sainthood. Known for his bravery in aiding injured soldiers, he was killed in 1917 at the Battle of Passchendaele while helping wounded troops. A special service will be held in Mullingar Cathedral, where documents supporting his canonization will be sent to the Vatican.
