Two officers from the Metropolitan Police are under investigation for their management of Simon Levy, a serial sex offender who murdered two women. The Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) is examining their actions over a four-year period, acknowledging significant shortcomings from multiple agencies involved in Levy's case.
Levy, who had a history of sexual offenses dating back to 2018, was released on license in February 2023 but was not charged after breaching conditions. The IOPC's inquiry began in January following a referral from the Metropolitan Police and is ongoing.
