The HMS Queen Elizabeth has departed from Portsmouth Naval Base for a three-month training deployment around the UK and northern Europe. This mission marks the aircraft carrier's first official sailing as NATO's command ship for the Allied Response Force, a role it assumed in July 2023.
During this deployment, the crew of over 800 sailors will engage in intensive training exercises to prepare for potential crisis operations, enhancing their readiness and integration within NATO forces.
