The Great Scottish Run in Glasgow is expected to see around 35,000 participants this weekend, surpassing previous years' attendance. Events kicked off on Saturday, featuring junior and mini runs, and will culminate with a 10k and half marathon on Sunday, starting from St Vincent Street and finishing at Glasgow Green.
With record participation, the Great Scottish Run highlights Glasgow's vibrant running community. Watch for potential new records in both the 10k and half marathon, and consider how this event might inspire local fitness initiatives or future sporting events in the city.
