Fervo Energy has reached an agreement with Google to supply nearly 400 megawatts of geothermal energy for a new data center in Utah. This deal is part of Google's ongoing efforts to source clean energy, aligning with its goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2030.
If fully realized, the potential expansion of this agreement could lead to a total of 1 gigawatt of geothermal power, significantly contributing to the U.S. geothermal capacity and supporting Google's AI initiatives without compromising its sustainability targets.
