Flávio Bolsonaro, the Brazilian senator and son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, has arrived in Miami after losing the presidential election. His travel follows a period of uncertainty regarding his location, with reports suggesting he had crossed into Argentina before heading to the U.S. Bolsonaro has claimed he is the true elected president and criticized the electoral process, alleging fraud.
His departure has drawn criticism from Brazil's newly reelected President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who remarked that those without anything to hide should not fear. Flávio Bolsonaro is currently under investigation for financial irregularities and is set to lose his parliamentary immunity at the end of January 2024.
