Residents in a rural area of Conwy county have been advised to evacuate due to a wildfire affecting Conwy Mountain and the Sychnant Pass. The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has been actively combating the blaze since early Sunday morning, with local authorities urging those in the vicinity of the Fairy Glen public house to leave as a precaution against smoke inhalation.
The Gladstone Inn has been designated as a safe location for evacuees. Meanwhile, North Wales Police have recommended that other residents keep their doors and windows closed to minimize smoke exposure, and the Conwy Old Road has been closed due to the ongoing fire response.
