Both England's men's and women's rugby league teams are likely to exit the World Cup early after disappointing performances. The men's team, despite a win against Papua New Guinea, requires an unlikely result from Tonga to advance, while the women's team lost to Samoa, marking a significant decline from previous tournaments. This could be the first time in World Cup history that neither team reaches the semi-finals.
