Teddy Picton, 20, has been sentenced to seven years in a young offenders' institution after admitting to causing death by dangerous driving. The incident involved Picton driving on the wrong side of the road and colliding head-on with cyclist Brad Craven, who later died in the hospital after five weeks in a coma.
The court heard that Picton was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine at the time of the crash and had no valid driving license or insurance. He has also been disqualified from driving for nearly ten years.
