Dressability, a charity based in Swindon, has successfully repurposed thousands of unwanted clothing items, including coats and fleeces, by removing branding and donating them to those in need. The initiative has seen a significant increase in demand, with over 1,000 items altered and distributed annually, reaching locations as far as Liverpool and Ukraine.
The charity primarily focuses on clothing for individuals with disabilities but expanded its efforts after receiving surplus stock from businesses. Dressability is now seeking local sewing groups to assist with the growing volume of donations, emphasizing sustainability and community support.
