Derry City has received a suspended partial closure of the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium for two years due to incidents involving rival supporters during a Europa League match against CSKA Sofia. The club has also been fined €20,000, while CSKA Sofia faces a ban on away supporters and fines totaling €55,000 for their role in the disturbances.
The club is taking steps to ensure safety at home matches and is investigating the involvement of its own supporters in the incidents. Derry City is set to play HNK Rijeka in the Conference League on Thursday.
