A 41-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of Mary McAdorey, found in her home in Newtownabbey on October 12, 2025. The accused, identified as Ms. McAdorey's partner, was previously arrested and released on bail as investigations continued, including evidence from her mobile phone suggesting a history of domestic abuse.
During a court hearing, a police officer indicated that the defendant's past as a violent offender and concerns about his probation status warranted opposition to bail. The case is set to be reviewed again on September 15.
