Apple has unveiled a new MacBook Pro featuring a touch display, a significant shift from its previous stance against touchscreens on laptops. The device, equipped with the M5 Pro or M5 Max chip and a tandem OLED screen, aims to enhance user interaction while maintaining the Mac's core identity as a trackpad and keyboard-focused device.
This development comes after years of Apple executives asserting that touchscreens were not suitable for Macs. The change reflects evolving user expectations, particularly among professional users who are accustomed to touch interfaces on other Apple devices like iPads and iPhones.
