West Devon Borough Council has announced a new funding initiative of £300,682 aimed at assisting residents facing financial difficulties. This Crisis and Resilience Fund, which replaces the previous Household Support Fund, will provide both emergency aid and long-term support, focusing on low-income households and care leavers as priority groups.
The council plans to establish a Financial Advice and Support Team in collaboration with South Hams District Council. This team will help residents access essential items and services, including crisis payments and welfare benefits advice, while also exploring community energy schemes for further assistance.
